Aims and objectives of the research project
The aim of this project is to develop a lightweight privacy encryption-based contact tracing system, that will be suitable for practical deployment on resource-constrained wearable devices which have small data storage capacity and battery life with case-based referral to contain the spread of COVID-19 in Nigeria.
The objectives are to develop:
- an IOT-based wearable device and an integrated USSD-based mobile app for acquisition of location and health information
- a real-time, privacy-preserving contact tracing system
- an automated system, driven by deep ensemble learning, for predicting spread of COVID-19 cases in Nigeria
- multi-attribute analysis and different introspective studies by modelling the spread patterns of COVID-19 cases
